96 year old Hardei took the exam

The examination, organized under the 'ULLAS' (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society) literacy campaign at the Government Senior Secondary School, Ali Mohammad, concluded amidst great joy and enthusiasm. A total of 62 learners participated in this examination. A palpable sense of excitement for education and a keen eagerness to learn were clearly visible among all the participants.

 

The most inspiring highlight of the event was the participation of 96-year-old Har Dei, who took the exam and left everyone astonished. Her passion and zeal for education at such an advanced age served as a shining example for the other participants.

 


Vimla—wife of Amilal, aged 80—also participated in the examination during the event. She proved conclusively that there is no age limit for learning. Her participation served to inspire others to pursue education as well. The school principal, Bhup Singh, stated that the objective of the 'ULLAS' campaign is to extend education to every section of society and to make adults literate.


He noted that throughout the examination, all the learners participated with complete dedication and enthusiasm. The participation of women like 96-year-old Har Dei and 80-year-old Vimla made the event truly special, conveying the powerful message that one is never too old to learn.
